Making better money making websites or any websites

Are you wondering about how you can improve and draw traffic to your website? I did and there began my quest to find some solutions. I've asked the advice of a few of my friends as well as people on various internet forums and chats. They gave me some great insights, of which I will share here on my blog. Although many of you may know this, I found it excellent advice for beginners.

The number one most important thing is having quality posts. It matters less if you are having a huge amount of people viewing your site because if the content you have is not captivating they will neither stay or bookmark your page. Of course you want them to stay and read your posts, then return later for more. To maximize your site's potential it is imperative that we apply these basic points of web wisdom. Also, it does not matter much if you make many posts either if the quality of your posts is below average. Though you may make a hundred different posts a day(for all you bloggers out there), if your content does not grab their attention then it will not be worth their while to stop and read, or bookmark. Let's face it -- if nobody is viewing your pages, you basically do not exist at all in cyberspace. It's the number of viewers that stay and continue to view your posts is part of what determines your rank in major search engines such as Google. Now why is that important? For starters, try applying for PayPerPost, Smorty, or any kind of site that pays you to blog for them. They will decline you if you are ranked "0". I can tell you from personal experience (yup feelings do get hurt but it's important to pick yourself up and do it again). It also matters when it comes to generating yourself some income from those affiliate-marketing sites as well. The higher your ranking the more money you make.

Knowing this now, we need to have a catchy title. Of course it must be relevant to what your website is about, and at the same time be unique. It must be both something that makes it your own, and made in your own image. Take for example your local fast-food joint named Wendy's. It is a restaurant chain named after the founder's daughter. You can pick a name with hot/meta tag words such as "Money Making or Shopping." This really depends on your preference and how you would like to go about it. You must also think about who your target audience is. Get to know your viewers. For example if you want people who are interested in making money online, you may use words like money and Internet or something in relation to that in your title. This is also true when it comes to your post content. Which leads us back to the most important thing content quality. You must think about the "how" your are writing as well as the "what". Be consistent in your writing. If your target audience is people wanting to make money online of course you will not digress on about how to train your pet.

Lastly, there's nothing like a good first impression. Often times this is what first captivates people's attention, and is often a deciding factor in whether or not your audience will stay, read, and bookmark. Therefore, brush up or learn new HTML/XML/CSS/XHTML/Java, etc. You need to clean up, organize your site, and de-clutter it. What I mean by that is that you want to make your site smooth, easy and pleasing to the eye. If it were you, ask yourself whether you would like to maneuver around dirt and debris, or a clean field? Make good usage of spacing, frames, tables, banners and widgets to help put things in order like we do at home with drawers, dressers and cabinets. Have plenty of pictures and graphics. Now, the advice I have layed out there is not all there is, but it is my hope that I have helped the beginner out there in their quest to be a top webmaster.
